IMPROV FOUNDATION 4

Tuesdays 6pm-9pm (3 Hours)

Description: Improv Foundation 4 utilizes everything learned so far, but dives further into embodying characters and emotions, introduces the 'game of the scene', and introductory longform techniques.

Goal: To build on the skills from Improv Foundation 1, 2 and 3, tighten scene work and learn basic longform techniques. Students will have a showcase performance at the end of term.

Prerequisite: Improv Foundation 3 or equivalent

Class Size: 10 people max

Duration: 12 hours total - 4 week (3 Hr/Class) format. See section details.

Anders Yates

Anders Yates is an improviser, actor, writer, teacher and comedian originally from Montréal. His improv and sketch comedy troupe Uncalled For has toured North America performing at countless festivals, and he currently is a cast member in the Second City Touring Company. Anders' solo sketch comedy has won him accolades and awards, including the Outstanding Solo Performance award from My Entertainment World and Best of the Fest from the Montréal Sketchfest. He spent several years as a contributor to the satirical news site The Beaverton and has an extensive career in film and television.

Bad Dog Studio (392 Spadina Ave)

Bad Dog's Studios are located at 392 Spadina Ave on the 2nd Floor. There are two studios within - Studio 875 & Studio 138. Your welcome email will confirm which room your class will be using. There are also whiteboards by each door to indicate. Venue Accessibility: This class location is on the second floor with 15-20 steps. It is not wheelchair accessible.
