Class description

IMPROV FOUNDATION 1

Wednesdays 6pm-8:30pm (2.5 Hours)

September 16 - October 14 (5 Weeks)

CSI Spadina (192 Spadina Ave)

Improv Foundation 1 is where it all begins! Get introduced to the basic skills and concepts of improvisation, and learn how to cultivate a 'Yes, And' attitude for life in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Goal: To become familiar with improv vocabulary and execute basic scenes through games and drills.

Prerequisite: N/A. No prior experience necessary.

Duration: 12 Hours Total - 5 weeks x 2.5 hours. This class may also be available as a Two Day Intensive.

Price: $350+HST

Class Size: 10 Maximum

Location: TBD - Either Bad Dog Studio (392 Spadina Ave) or CSI Spadina (192 Spadina Ave)

Teachers

Ashley Seaman

Ashley Seaman is an Educator (B.Ed, OCT), TDSB Educational Partner, Improviser, and Expressive Arts Support Group Facilitator with experience in the mental health sector (Sheena's Place, CAMH). Ashley operates Y.A.Y. Improv Comedy, a company that delivers wellness-oriented Improv workshops to support folks of all ages in having more inclusive and happy experiences in schools, workplaces and communities. Ashley has been developing and creating Improv Programs for over a decade at a variety of locations in the GTA, including The Second City Training Centre where she also led the Youth & Teen Program. Ashley has performed in a delightful array of improv and sketch comedy productions over the years and she is thrilled to be on the incredible faculty of Bad Dog Theatre!
