Description: This class is designed to help those with ideas and interest in developing their own original TV series concepts. It teaches a process to build from the smallest idea on to a full pitch ready concept. Students will learn how to create compelling characters, build strong story engines, and make their ideas more unique and personal. They will also have an opportunity to put these processes into practice by developing their own idea through a logline, character descriptions, world building, creating their pilot story, and outlining a pilot script.
Please Note: Writing and workshopping a pilot script is the focus of TV Development Bootcamp Level 2
Goal: To learn a process to develop an idea into a fully formed TV series concept, create pitch ready material that communicates a strong series concept, and create a strong foundation to write a pilot script.
Prerequisite: None besides an interest in learning how to develop a TV series concept
Class Size: 10 max
Duration: 5 weeks, 12.5 hours total
