IMPROV FOR BUSINESS SKILLS
Alfred Chow, Instructor
Saturdays 3:30pm-5:30pm (2 Hours)
September 12 - October 24 (6 Weeks, No Class Oct 10)
While Improvisation is most famous as a comedy style, its practical value can be applied to all sorts of careers. The same techniques improvisors use in their performances can help anyone to think better on their feet, speak more confidently, become a more effective collaborator, be more adaptable, maximize their creativity, and be more authentic. It’s the same improv fundamentals as the regular Foundation 1 class delivered in the same laughter-filled style - just with an instructor with the business experience to explain how to apply the skills to a variety of career situations.
Goal: To learn how improv fundamentals can help in developing more well-rounded soft skills. Students will also learn Bad Dog’s full Improv Foundation 1 curriculum, become familiar with Improv vocabulary, and execute basic scenes through games and drills.
Prerequisite: N/A. No prior experience necessary.
Duration: 12 Hours Total - Either 6 weeks x 2 hours (see individual section details).
Price: $350+HST
Class Size: 10 Maximum
Location: TBD - Either Bad Dog Studio (392 Spadina Ave) or CSI Spadina (192 Spadina Ave)
